“My goal for this demonstration is to show the way I approach painting, from concept to completion. I will explain the palette lay out and what new premixed pigments I have added. We will talk about the importance of preparation and practices that keep me consistent through the painting process.
When I paint on location my goal is to catch the natural light temperature which maintains the color harmony. My studio paintings incorporate my sketches, photo references, and memory as well as imagination.
Bring your questions and if they are not answered during the demonstration, I can do that after the demonstration.

GOOD NEWS!
Cuesta Inlet has become a public land due to the many donations secured by the Save Cuesta Inlet volunteers.
I am grateful the land will continue to be accessible.
This private land has been used for decades by people of all ages to walk, launch a kayak and enjoy nature. I have enjoyed capturing the beauty of the inlet on canvas for many years.
